This report includes the work of °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû’s six health and safety associations (HSAs). Each HSA is an independent not-for-profit corporation, governed by a board of directors. They deliver front-line prevention programs to employers and workers, joint health and safety committees, medical practitioners and unions. HSA services include:

  • delivering training
  • creating tools that can be used in the workplace
  • providing consultation and clinical services
  • supporting industry-specific programs

Four of the HSAs are sector-based:

  • serves construction, electrical, utilities, aggregates, natural gas, ready-mix concrete and transportation sectors.
  • works with °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû’s Public and Broader Public Sector employers.
  • serves the manufacturing, agricultural and service sectors.
  • serves the mining and forest products industries, as well as businesses across northern °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû.

Two of the HSAs serve people in all sectors:

  • provides occupational disease information and clinical services, including medical diagnostic services.
  • The , °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû’s designated health and safety training centre, provides training for workers, supervisors, health and safety representatives, joint health and safety committees, and employers.
