Foreign Cultural Objects Immunity from Seizure Act Determination
Pursuant to delegated authority and in accordance with subsection 1(1) of the Foreign Cultural Objects Immunity from Seizure Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.F-23, the work of art listed in Schedule “A” attached hereto, which work is to be on temporary exhibit during the Uninvited: Canadian Women Artists in the Modern Moment exhibition at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû pursuant to a loan agreement between the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and the lender listed in the attached Schedule “A”, is hereby determined to be of cultural significance and the temporary exhibition of this work in °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû is in the interest of the people of °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû.

Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004
The Minister of Health on behalf of the Government of °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû invites public comments on a regulation proposed to be made under the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (“PHIPA”).
PHIPA came into force on November 1, 2004. °ÄÃÅÓÀÀû Regulation 329/04, (General), made under PHIPA (“the PHIPA Regulation”) also came into force on November 1, 2004. The Government is proposing amendments to the PHIPA Regulation. PHIPA requires that the Minister publish a notice of the proposed amending regulation and allow 60 days for public comment, after which the Minister reports to the Lieutenant Governor in Council, who may then finalize the regulation with or without changes.
Content of Proposed Regulation
The Ministry of Health is proposing to amend section 3 of the PHIPA Regulation to ensure that Indigenous organizations funded directly by the Ministry of Health continue to be Health Information Custodians under PHIPA. The proposed amendment would set out that every Indigenous organization that has entered into an agreement with the Minister of Health pursuant to paragraph 4.1 of subsection 6(1) of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Act to provide home and community care services for Indigenous communities:
- is prescribed as a health information custodian
- is prescribed as a single health information custodian with respect to all of its functions in providing those services, and
- shall be deemed to be included in the type of custodians referred to in subsections 20 (2) and (3), clause 38 (1) (a) and subclause 39 (1) (d) (i) of PHIPA.
Invitation to Provide Comments on Proposed Regulation
The public is invited to provide written comments on the proposed regulation over a 60-day period, commencing on May 8, 2021 and ending on July 6, 2021.
In providing comments, please consider whether the proposed amendments to the PHIPA Regulation should be made, with or without changes. Furthermore, please consider whether any other amendments should be made to the PHIPA Regulation. Please be as specific as possible and provide a full rationale for any suggested changes or additions.
