It has come to my attention that some parcels contain a stamp or notation about assurance fees which reads similar to the following:

  • "This land is subject to assurance fees of 1/4 per cent on value of land and 1/10 per cent on buildings, which must be paid before any dealings therewith."

This notation relates to a former provision that required the collection of fees for the Land Titles Assurance Fund. This provision no longer exists and, therefore, you may delete such notations without application.
