Amending O. Reg. 224/98

(ASSISTANCE FOR CHILDREN WITH SEVERE DISABILITIES)

1. Subsections 2 (1) and (2) of �������� Regulation 224/98 are amended by striking out “not more than $580 a month” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “not more than the maximum amount under section 2.1”.

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

2.1 (1) The maximum amount that applies for the purposes of subsections 2 (1) and (2) is,

(a)�� before the date on which the first adjustment occurs in accordance with subsection (2), $580; and

(b)�� on and after that date, the amount as most recently adjusted in accordance with subsection (2).

(2) On each July 1 on which an adjustment occurs under section 29.1 of �������� Regulation 222/98 (General) made under the Act, the maximum amount that applies for the purposes of subsections 2 (1) and (2) shall also be adjusted in the same manner as the amounts set out in the sections to which section 29.1 of that Regulation applies.

(3) Before July 1 in a year during which an adjustment is to occur in accordance with subsection (2), the Director shall publish on a website of the Government of �������� the adjusted maximum amount that applies for the purposes of subsections 2 (1) and (2) beginning on that date.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of June 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed. ��
