Amending O. Reg. 768/20

(ONTARIO STUDENT GRANTS AND ONTARIO STUDENT LOANS FOR MICRO-CREDENTIALS)

1. (1) Section 2 of �������� Regulation 768/20 is amended by adding the following definitions:

“2023 Regulation” means �������� Regulation 82/23 (�������� Learn and Stay Grant) made under the Act; (“Règlement de 2023”)

“�������� Learn and Stay Grant student” has the same meaning as in the 2023 Regulation; (“étudiant bénéficiant de la subvention ontarienne Apprendre et rester”)

(2) The definition of “service provider” in section 2 of the Regulation is amended by adding “or grants” after “student loans” in the portion before clause (a).

2. Clause 24 (3) (b) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the 2023 Regulation” before “the 2017 Regulation”.

3. (1) The following provisions of the Regulation are amended by adding “or an �������� Learn and Stay Grant student” after “qualifying student” wherever it appears:

1.�� Clauses 31.2 (3) (a) and (b).

2.�� Paragraphs 1 and 2 of subsection 31.5 (2).

3.�� Paragraphs 1 and 2 of subsection 31.5 (3).

4.�� Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of subsection 31.7 (2).

5.�� Section 31.12.

(2) Clauses 31.2 (3) (a), (b) and (c) of the Regulation, as remade by section 3 of �������� Regulation 71/23, are amended by adding “or an �������� Learn and Stay Grant student” after “qualifying student” wherever it appears.

Commencement

4. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Subsection 3 (2) comes into force on the later of August 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed. ��
