Amending O. Reg. 206/97

(WASTE DISPOSAL SITES, WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND SEWAGE WORKS SUBJECT TO APPROVAL UNDER OR EXEMPT FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT ACT)

1. (1) Section 1 of �������� Regulation 206/97 is amended by adding “or project” after “undertaking” in the portion before clause (a).

(2) Clause 1 (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “section 5” and substituting “Part II.3”.

(3) Clause 1 (b) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “exempt from section 5” and substituting “subject to Part II.1”; and

(b) striking out “section 15.1” and substituting “section 15”.

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following French version:

lieux d’élimination des déchets, systèmes de gestion des déchets et stations d’épuration des eaux d’égout ASSUJETTIS À UNE AUTORISATION prévue par LA LOI SUR LES ÉVALUATIONS ENVIRONNMENTALES OU soustraits à l’application DE CETTE LOI

1. Un lieu d’élimination des déchets, un système de gestion des déchets ou une station d’épuration des eaux d’égout ne doit pas faire l’objet d’une audience en application de l’article 20.15 de la Loi sur la protection de l’environnement s’il s’agit ou s’il fait partie d’une entreprise ou d’un projet qui, selon le cas��:

a) est assujetti à la partie II.3 de la Loi sur les évaluations environnementales;

b) est assujetti à la partie II.1 de la Loi sur les évaluations environnementales par l’effet de l’article 15 de cette loi.��

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 3 (2) of Schedule 6 to the COVID-19 Economic Recovery Act, 2020 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
