Amending O. Reg. 197/96

(CONSENT APPLICATIONS)

1. (1) Paragraph 1 of subsection 3 (2) of �������� Regulation 197/96 is revoked and the following substituted:

1. Subsection (3), (6) or (6.1).

(2) Section 3 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:

(6.1) If, in the official’s opinion, a newspaper described in subsection (6) does not exist, notice shall be given by posting a notice on the website of the municipality, municipal planning authority or planning board.

(3) Subsection 3 (7) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “(3) and (6)” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “(3), (6) and (6.1)”.

2. (1) Paragraph 1 of subsection 11 (1) of �������� Regulation 197/96 is revoked and the following substituted:

1. Subsection (2), (2.1) or (3).

(2) Section 11 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:

(2.1) If, in the Minister’s opinion, a newspaper described in subsection (2) does not exist, notice shall be given by posting a notice on a Government of �������� website.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2024 and the day this Regulation is filed.
