under section 6.2 of the ISP Requirements
Use the pre-screening checklist as a self-assessment to help determine if the private postsecondary institution has sufficient operational and financial history to apply for ISP designation if it does not meet section 6.1 of the ISP Requirements.
Note:
Completing this pre-screening checklist to determine your institution鈥檚 eligibility to apply for status as a designated learning institution does neither indicate nor guarantee that your institution will receive the ISP designation.
The final determination of your institution鈥檚 eligibility for designation under the ISP will be made following the ministry鈥檚 thorough review of your application and supporting documents, including a rigorous assessment of the institution鈥檚 financial viability and risk.
The ministry highly recommends that your institution carefully considers the financial (for example, costs) and business (for example, operational) capacity of pursuing designation under Section 6.2 when it may result in a decision of ineligibility after review.
Public postsecondary institutions
Application forms are available upon request for the following publicly assisted postsecondary institutions:
- universities
- colleges of applied arts and technology
- Indigenous Institutes
