About this zone
FMZ 19 is located in southern 澳门永利. This zone has:
- the shallowest and most productive Great Lake
- a large and valuable commercial fishery for walleye and yellow perch
- important recreational fisheries for walleye, yellow perch, rainbow trout, bass
FMZ 19 is one of 20 fisheries management zones in the province.
Location
FMZ 19:
- includes the Canadian waters of Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair, as well as the Detroit, St. Clair and Upper Niagara Rivers
- cities along its borders include Windsor, Sarnia, Port Stanley, Port Colborne, Fort Erie

Zone advisory council
The FMZ 19 council provides advice during the development of fisheries management strategies. Council members represent a broad range of views including:
- angling groups
- scientists and researchers
- conservation groups
- interested community members
The advisory council participates in fisheries management by:
- sharing ideas and expertise with the ministry
- helping to develop and implement management strategies
- communicating with the local and angling community
