Project summary
The Sagatay Pickle Lake transmission project was a plan to build a 230 kilovolt transmission line between the Ignace area and Pickle Lake. The project was proposed by Sagatay Transmission L.P.
On January 17, 2019 the partners of Sagatay Transmission L.P.—Mishkeegogamang First Nation, Ojibway Nation of Saugeen and Algonquin Power—legally joined Wataynikaneyap Transmission L.P. As a result, on March 4, 2019 Sagatay formally withdrew its terms of reference, ending the environmental assessment process for the proposed project.
